    Hello,

I would like some advice on how to write a letter/email to a GP practice requesting for work experience, and what I should include in the letter/email?

    Many thanks.

You're thinking too much into this, you don't need a winning script to get a placement. Just call any nearby GPs rather than emailing them and ask if they have a work experience programme, not much else to it tbh...

    Hello,

I have called them, but they told me to write a letter to the manager, can you give me some ideas, please?

    Thanks.

    How about:

Dear Practice Manager or Dear Mr/Mrs Blogs,

Thank you for affording me time on [Date]. Further to your advice, I wish put my request in writing & enquire if your practice would be able to offer me a work placement, ideally lasting one week, but I am content with short periods if more acceptable.

[Insert a line about your background] - Eg: I am currently in year__ Studying __ & am considering a career in medicine.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my request. I will telephone in one weeks time if nil response to enquire if an opportunity exists.

    Yours sincerely,

    Hi Fateemah

where are you based I am a practice manager at a GP practice I could help you get some work if it's in east Lancashire. I have many requests for volunteer/experience work I do prefer a cv to be attached.

    Hope that helps.

    Hello,

I would be delighted to get some work. But I live in London. And unfortunately, most of the GP practices that I have enquired from don't allow work experience for under 18's/non-medical students. But thank you very much for the offer.

    Many thanks.

By any chance do you know any GP practices in London that would accept me for a work placement?
