The exam has been running for 2 years only. I took and passed the SCE in another speciality and can assure you the level is significantly higher than MRCP.

1.is it enough to go through stander text book in that subject with latest nice guidelines enough ?
2. and also there will be more photographs?
3.and time of 3hours for 100 questions will be enough ? (compare to the length of the questions to part2 written)

I took SCE Endocrinology June, 2013, unfortunately I lost by just a few marks.

1-Read lots of MCQs, like ESAP, Onexamination, etc. As for what to read, check out this website for full information Advice and Resources for Specialty Certificate Examination in Endocrinology & Diabetes

2- There were some images in the exam including CT and Nuclear scans, etc.

3-Time is enough in the exam, but as it is two 3 hour exams with one hour break in the middle, it is very tough.
