    Hi all,

I'm currently deciding whether to give up on the dream of getting into medicine.
I did well in my GCSEs (3 A* 7A) but then had a lot of family problems and ended up caring for a family member through illness for the next few years.
I bombed my A levels ( B biology C chemistry C physics). Got a 2:2 in biology for my first degree and a 2:1 average in my Masters but it wasn't classified as a Merit.

I've got quite a bit of work experience but I'm wondering if a good GAMSAT score is enough to give me hope or whether to call it quits now.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

SGUL and (I believe ) Cardiff still accept a 2.2.
In my day Kings accepted a masters as an alternative to a 2.1, and may still do! I do recall others also did this. But over the years criteria change.

You will need to look at all the Uni's entrance options.

Another thing to consider is how determined you are. It's common to get knock backs and not unusual to take a few rounds (years) to get in...
