    Hi
Could anybody help me with a case study please?
    • In the days after a cardio-oesophagectomy (with right lung deflation), if the patient is recovering in a recumbent position, would there be a reduced pulmonary blood flow (from normal)?
    • If so, would this be due to shunting (due to V/Q mismatch) or is there another reason?
    • Would a reduced pulmonary blood flow cause an increased Closing Capacity and therefore predispose the patient to atelectasis?
Thank you very much in advance!
    Nicola
