Well done my UKCAT is 695 but I am not a graduate, wonder if my average is high enough to be considered. :)

That score is worthy of most GEP courses, so I can't see any Uni having an issue with it.
    Good luck.

Does Newcastle do batches of interviews or does it offer them on a sliding scale of Ukcat scores (I.e. highest scorer 1st etc)? Also does anybody know the cut off point for Ukcat last year?

Thanks ob [x], good to know : ].

I think Newcastle's 'cut off' last year was around 650. Although they did specify they have no cut off as such but those made offers typically had UKCAT's above 650.

From what I understand, assuming candidates meet the basic criteria they offer the top UKCAT scorers interviews. (Which would mean that they would have a cut off? - but I could have got this wrong.)

I don't know in what order they are issuing interviews. I don't think it's by UKCAT score alone. Or if it is then I obviously don't make the basic criteria! hmm, maybe their basic criteria are not so basic.. :-/
Perhaps it is alphabetical? Someone mentioned that their surname began with an H (mine is a W so I'll be waiting a while!) ... in the student room some people were questioning whether it could be geographical as people on their with interviews were all from the north.
Ho hum. (drums fingers on the table and goes to get chocolate.)

the cut off last year was 675 and apparently later it went down to 667.5... in terms of selection once you meet the cut off, im pretty sure its entirely at random

For anyone who is wondering how Newcastle use the UKCAT...

"Newcastle University and Durham University require valid UKCAT scores as part of the entry requirements for medicine. For the A100 programme Newcastle and Durham use the same UKCAT threshold to identify applicants for interview. The UKCAT scores will be used to identify those we wish to interview. The UKCAT threshold may differ in each admissions cycle as it is dependent on the scores achieved by those applicants who apply to our Medical School in the current cycle."
