    Hello,

I am a mature student, researcher by profession in biomedical science with tons of work experience. I have an offer to study medicine outside UK next year. However, my main focus is to get somewhere in UK. For this reason, I appeared for UKCAT. Unfortunately, I got 602.5 in exam.
Any chance to keep hope for UK medical school based on this score?

    Thank you so much.

    Best wishes

I can't see you getting Graduate slot with that score. There might be a 5-year course that puts a low emphasis on UKCAT, but I'm too long out off the system to be aware of any.

There is always the GAMSAT. But today is the last day to register for this years exam.

    Thank you for the reply.
Yes, I am writing GAMSAT this year.

Any suggestions on which universities to consider for 5-year course?

Once again thank you very much for giving your time here:)

    Regards

I'm too far out of the applications system to judge it.
Also what are your other qualifications like? Cambridge might be an option, as they don't use UKCAT.

My other qualification is PhD in biology (from UK uni).
I was thinking of Warwick and Aberdeen as my UKCAT choices.
    St.George's and Nottingham for GAMSAT.
Someone told me I should consider Imperial (BMAT uni) as they love people from research background. Currently, I have to decide whether my UKCAT score is worth to consider any university who use this as a criteria.

    Thank you once again.
p.s. I am not considering Oxbridge and UCL as they straight way said no for my overseas undergrad and postgrad degree.

    Regards

You do fit the Imperial Profile, as they do seem to like the research careers. Not sure what the current entry criteria are.

    Hey all,

I know it is quite late to be approaching you but I am looking for a UKCAT and BMAT tutor. I have hear about a bunch of agencies out there but not sure which to choose. Would you guys recommend any or would you be either to offer guidance or be able to give tutorials? I am currently doing mock exams for AS-Level

    HEEEELLLLPPPP!

    Get a decent book.

Eg like the UKCAT 600 questions.
The BPP book is also pretty good.
