funny mcmaster admissions

    Hello,

    Not sure if this is actually in the proper part of the forum. oh well.

    I'm a Canadian, 2nd year medical student in Australia. I was just curious and browsed through McMaster's Medicine website and checked out their admissions for current classes.. there's a good number (like, over 30) of the class that at the time of application were "19 years old or below".

    I fail to see how that works.

    Not that it applies or is relevant to me at all, but I just wanted to know how a Canadian medical school that requires at least 2 or 3 years of undergraduate study accepts over 30 students that are age 19 or below. Granted no MCAT is required but still.... Unless all of them graduated high school when they're like, 16 or something.

    So how does McMaster pull this off?

    hm..not sure how it works but i finished my OSSD at the age of 17... ha... so by the time i finished my undergraduate (3 yrs course) i was 20... I could have finished my high sch by 16 if i wanted to but i decided to 'hang around' a bit longer :D
