    Hi all,

To all those who were interviewed for the Foundation Degree Course at Carmel College, I was wondering if anyone has had an offer yet? I haven't heard anything since the interview in April!

Well I had my interview today, and they told me that they would let me know by the end of this month, once they have finished interviewing.

    Hope that helps

    Foundation Course Liverpool

    Hi Dr Phil,

I've had a letter in the post too from the university but it say "you will be permitted to join the year 0 course and progress to MBchB subject to examination results" Can I take this being a firm offer? How did your letter read?

    Cheers

    Al

I had to confirm that I accepted the offer by email. So it sounds good to me :)

It doesn't say anything about confirming the offer only that I will be permitted to join the course. Also their is no starting date or induction pack with the letter. The way the letter is worded means I will be allowed to join the course, not I will be joining the course.... I'm so confused with the wording of the letter. Was a start date included in your letter and did your letter say something like congratulations we would like to offer you a place on the course??

Any info would be greatly appreciated to put my mind at rest.

    Cheers
    Al

Thats quite strange. At the end of my letter, it says 'congratulations on being offered a place'. It says they will be sending a joining information pack out in august. And like I said, I had to confirm too.

The only thing I can think of is are you waiting for any results or do you still have to meet any of the requirements for the course?

Otherwise, probably best to drop them an email or give them a call. Just so you know where you stand.

    Hi All,

I've had a letter today too offering me a place on the course!
The letter says that you must achieve an average mark of 70% over the year in order to progress into year 1 of the A100 programme. I had already been told this so nothing new there, everyone wanting to continue with the course at Liverpool needs to get that mark or over.

I've also been asked to confirm acceptance by email.

Can't wait to start! Hope to see you all there.

    Lee :)

    Hi All,

I telephoned the Uni today and they told me I have an offer but it is conditional. The person who I spoke to was unable to give me the conditions as all the admissions staff were away on holiday and it was only them who would send out the offer specifying the conditions. I haven't got a clue what the conditions might be so will just have to wait to find out. Congratulations to everyone who has been offered a place.

    Al :)

    Hi Liverpoolwannabe,

I'm not waiting on any exam results and can only think that the conditions to get on the MBchB course is to achieve 70% or above in every subject in year 0 at Carmel college, since I have already had a letter that states this.

    Congrats Lauren!!

    Hi Liverpoolwannabe,

things they asked me; what do you know about PBL, what would you do if you were the chief executive of your hospital, discuss an ethical issue your aware of, how do you feel about going back into education, how do you think your life experience wil lhelp other peopple. I already work in an A&E department so they asked a lot of my questions relating to my work.

    Hope this helps a bit!

    Good luck
