Is there a cut off score for cardiff?
Yes there is, not sure what it will be for this year but for 2011 cycle the cut-off was 25 points based on their GCSE scoring system (3 points for A*, 2 fro A, 1 for B for your top nine GCSE's excluding short courses and including sciences (double or triple), maths and english language)
i have done A level and obtained A*AA (gap year student) - would they count this as well? would you know
based on above i would score 25 (7A* and 2A in GCSE)
Yes, acheived A levels will give you extra points to bring you up to the cut off for academics. They then score your personal statement out of 30 and the 800-900 top scoring applicants are invited to interview
Good luck if you've got a place to start in Sep 2013!! Enjoy
