So my heart was set on medicine, but my mind is set on something OTHER than medicine.

I will be completing my A-levels this year, and applied for medicine and biomedicine. But now I am not sure about this as this is a long specific path.
I have a somewhat interest in the medical field.
So I wanted to ask you guys if you have any other ideas for what I could go into,

I like medicine in a passionate way but feel I won't be able to handle the workload, so something less intense/less stressful would be better for me I suppose?
Also the thought of surgical procedures just makes me feel uncomfortable.

But I heard about Physician Assistants in the UK, how would this work? Is it less of a workload and easier life?

    Cheers
