    Pre GAMSAT questions

Oh and I forgot the most important thing - I don't what it's like in your year but during my time, we had to do a BIG project during the the 3rd year so you'll have to take that into account and manage your time effectively. If it works for you, light revision and building on that as the time...

    Pre GAMSAT questions

Hiya- I did the GAMSAT a few days ago and I'm from a similar background as you. The science questions we got isn't the typical A-level science question (or in my case IGCSE!). It was more about applying the knowledge or in some cases just analysing the data you are given + graphs. The latter...

Mature non-science student applying to Med school

Hiya.. i'm in a similar boat but I don't intend to do A levels. I found this link yesterday and I think you'll find it useful: http://www.medschools.ac.uk/SiteCollectionDocuments/MSC-Entry-requirements-for-UK-medical-schools.pdf It contains all medicine courses (4 and 5 yr) so you can see the...

    Swansea GEM Applicants 2017/18

Good luck with the ukcat! Just remember to guess, flag and next instead of spending too long on one question...I wish I remembered that whilst doing my VR...I might have been able to attempt all questions and probably got a better score

    Swansea GEM Applicants 2017/18

Now that i have sat my ukcat and got an abysmal score (avg 623), I am going to apply to Swansea for sure! :D How is your gamsat revision going? I had to pause mine for the last few weeks but I'm back on it now. Btw, I noticed you're applying for Newcastle too? Have you done your UKCAT?

    GEM vs 5-yr course

Hello, I'm hoping some of the "older" grads and mature students in the GEM and 5-yr course might be able to shed some light on their experiences here: When I decided to study medicine earlier this year, I planned to apply to the GEM courses. But now I'm researching the course contents, etc and...

GEM application, UKCAT score low, still a chance?

Hi Nisha - Martigan is a doc now (congrats Martigan!) so yea he must have done them a while ago. Write down your GCSE, A-level and degree and check out each school's entry requirement against what you've got. I'll try to send you the link on pvt because it's not letting me post the link here...

My best option to access medicine?

Maybe you can call them? Perhaps also resend the same email just before you do that then call them so you can point them to the email you just sent. Moreover you can ask them what they would need to let this pass. If the medical school say "sure no problem", get it in writing in case you need it...

My best option to access medicine?

Do you have written evidence that you were misled by the a level leader? I'm just wondering if you can somehow use that to invoke this (from their website): We will consider documentary evidence of mitigating circumstances that occurred around the time of A-Level exams and were reported to the...

GEM application, UKCAT score low, still a chance?

I'm only aware of the schools you listed. Personally, I'm planning to do both ukcat and gamsat for a couple of reasons: -I'll get the ukcat result as soon as I finish the test so I'll know whether I've done well enough to apply to Warwick and Newcastle (I'm from a non-science background). -Given...
